As the summer nears its end, a spectacle takes places off the Coast of Palm Beach County that divers and underwater photographers will not experience anywhere else in the world - congregations of 40 to 90 enormous groupers massed together on a particular handful of wreck sites. Typically, July through September marks the Goliath Grouper spawning season, with the peak of this season lasting only a few weeks. Like the fish, it is a goliath event.
Goliath grouper, which were once known as jewfish, can grow to more than eight feet in length and 800 pounds. During this time of year, we offer both day charters and live-aboard expeditions to ensure you your fill of extraordinary encounters with these gentle giants. For video representation of a previous year's aggregation, visit - Goliath Groupers.
These gentle giants aggregate off the Palm Beach Coast every year in late summer and are truly a bucket list photo opportunity.
